I took the Littles to the library this morning to play and check out fun books. All was well until, with Baby on my hip, I was showing Bonus Boy how we look up books (about trains!) on the computer catalog. Warm dribbles soaked my shirt, splattered on my toes, and hit the tile floor. Well, shucks.
We headed to the bathroom for paper towels to clean the floor. Once clean, we headed back to the bathroom to change the diaper (that hadn't done its job, thanks Parent's Choice). We then trudged back to the computer to find the very best train books. And all-the-while, I'm thinking, "Here I am...again."
I remember these days of pee and babies on the hip and dragging 5-year olds to the bathroom for paper towels and all the ENERGY it takes. Here I am again, and I am in awe to be here. More than that, I am in awe of the strength God continues to provide to handle it all.
God does not call us to His special tasks and then abandon us to do it on our own. Completely the opposite, He puts a beautiful opportunity on our path, and then HE DOES ALL THE WORK THROUGH US.
Always. Every time. We are simply and beautifully along for the ride. I'm learning this truth constantly, daily. (While getting peed on.)
