Our two teens - because not all of my kids are teens anymore as they are tiny or they have chosen to grow up and become adults, what? Anyway, our two teens are out at church camp. On Tuesday, we took our littles out to visit FOR ONE DAY so we could see the brothers and so that Matt could share a word of encouragement during campfire that night.
However, right after we arrived at camp, flood waters rose and locked us in. All the camp staff were amazing as they scrounged for everything we needed so we could suddenly stay the night. With our babies. Wowza.
The flood waters continued to rise and while all of us were completely safe, we could not leave to come home until late this morning.
It truly was an incredible blessing and had it not been for the fact that we almost ran out of formula for Boy Babe and the other fact that not changing clothes for three days is NOT PLEASANT - we would say that our extended stay out at camp was incredible.
By the way, we actually would have run out of formula if someone from town wouldn't have bought some and brought it as far as he could toward camp, while one of the dear camp directors met him on a flooded road and WALKED THROUGH GALLONS OF WATER to get it and bring it back for us. I tear up again just thinking of the love and care they showed all of us. Boy Babe was none the wiser, and he never missed a meal, praise God!
So anyway, I need a shower (and then I'm going to burn these clothes I'm wearing). But the two littles are occupied right now so I decided instead to take a moment to write and catch up with you!
