Yes, our foster Boy Babe is nice and squishy. He's chubbing up and his rolls are marvelous to kiss. But he's not 32 pounds yet. Phew.
I'm talking today about strawberries. I ended up with 32 pounds of them over the weekend!! What?!
Here's what happened: We helped with our monthly church food bank, which provides people in our community with much needed groceries. At the end of the day, there were fresh strawberries leftover. Knowing we have a large family of big eaters, they loaded us up - with 16 pounds of the glorious, juicy red fruit!
I didn't say no, because I knew we'd eat them! BUT I laughed all the way home because I also knew I'd just ordered 16 pounds of strawberries from Bountiful Baskets that would get delivered the next day! The price had been too good and I couldn't resist ordering two cases!
So there I was, with 32 pounds of strawberries in my kitchen. What's a girl to do? Well, this girl has been eating all the strawberries she can hold, that's what. I've been making all things strawberry all week long. I've shared strawberries with friends. I've frozen several pounds for smoothies.
We're having a lot of strawberry fun. There is often whipped cream involved. Life is delicious.
