Have we all now settled into a brand new school year? I *think* my family can be considered "settled." For at least today anyway. (We never know what tomorrow will bring, right?)
The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of God's amazing blessings through the following events:
- Our 4-year old foster son moved back in with us, giving us the wonderful but challenging opportunity to offer much needed love and stability, praise God.
- Our 20-year old friend moved in with us while he looks toward getting on his feet and getting back to college.
- Our 21-year old and 18-year old sons Asa and Justus
moved into the college dorm and started intense pre-season soccer training.
- My husband started his intense pre-season college soccer coaching (see you in November, Matt).
- Our 16-year old son Elias started taking a couple classes at the high school (a requirement so that he, as a homeschooler, can participate in extracurriculars at the public school).
- Our family started up our homeschool lessons (with a Junior and an 8th grader).
- Our foster son started Pre-K at his beloved pre-school, riding the bus to and from, which is even more fun than eating cake.
- Elias starts taking a college class on MWF on our local college campus tomorrow.
- There have been multiple appointments,
meetings, court dates, and visits to coordinate for our foster son.
- Ohhhh, and we started renovating a bathroom before all of this happened, which of course didn't get finished in time, so all of us are sharing one tiny bathroom and let's not even talk about where the washer and dryer are sitting right now (first world problems).
God
provides all: energy, help, rest, ability, time, and most of all, love. His love is amazing. It fills us and overflows out of us and because of this, we have everything we need. I am so grateful to be learning about God in new ways.
I'd love to hear what God is doing in your life right now!
Today I've got a couple of freebies for you, and some recipes and deals too...
