After the first few days of welcoming a four year old foster son into our home, I believe I am now starting to get my feet back on the ground. Phew, what a ride!
This process has been nothing but wonderful so far - total proof that God is in it and that this is His perfect plan for this little boy and our family right now. At the same time, it obviously requires a lot of
work and a lot of prayer. Thank you all so much for your prayers and emails of encouragement!
Today's Challenge
As of this morning, I counted 9 foods this kid will eat. (This is an improvement over the 4 he said he liked when he first moved in. I felt a huge win on the scrambled cheesy eggs he finally tried and realized he loved
yesterday!)
I'm moving slowly on new foods seeing as this little guy has had enough changes in his world as of late. No need to overwhelm by forcing the green beans, right? I would, however, welcome any food suggestions you all might have for feeding picky children? What might I be able to add to my food list for him?
Mom's Best
Resource
With a little one
back in our home, I'm looking through the (129) products with fresh eyes to see what all might be helpful right now. There are tons of books included that share preschooler play ideas, food ideas, organizational help - I am so on it!
Baking Day
In every spare moment, I am trying to either rest or get ahead (two very different things, huh?! both very valuable!).
I recently had a Baking
Day and shared about it here. I'm going to try to have another one soon so I can stay on top of our food needs during this busy time. Here's what my Baking Day plans were:
