That's
what my second grade teacher said every time any one of us asked her a "Can I" question. "I don't know, can you?" And then we would sigh and repeat our sentence by saying, "I mean, MAY I?"
But today the question is, can you can?
What I mean is, do you like to put produce into jars, which for some reason, is a preserving method we call canning? Can
you can? Or perhaps I should say, may you can? (channeling my inner 7-year old)
It's only January, so canning produce is not high on my list or yours right now probably. But getting ready (and dreaming about warm, sunny, gardening weather!) is a great idea during these off months.
