I'm
sorry (not sorry) for getting that song stuck in your head. Life is better because of Larry the Cucumber and his silly songs. (Be my cheeseburger, LtheC.)
I already know where my hairbrush is, but have I actually had a chance to use it today? If only. No worries though because I am in the middle of what I always tend to do in January: CLEAN OUT CLUTTER.
We pulled everything
out of Asa's closet (you know, only three years after he moved out and went to college). We found some treasures in there from the days he was shorter than me (2010??). The time to de-clutter that space had long passed. But you should see that closet now!!
This started our adventure of cleaning out everyone's closets, and ended with actual organized closets to enjoy in 2018. We've taken bags and bags of usable items to our local
mission. We've thrown away broken toys and half-decks of cards. Friends, we found Elias' boots that went missing three years ago. (They fit Malachi now. Score.)
If you need motivation right now to clear out clutter, come to my house (I don't recommend that you take off your boots when you get here).
Beyond the closets, I'm more determined than ever to make
lists because they help clear the clutter out of my HEAD, which we all know is more scattered than all the clutter from all of our closets combined.
May we all be motivated to get rid of all that stands in our way of peace, be it mind clutter or closet clutter.
