This
morning I'm cooking 10 pounds of bacon. It smells delicious here, but it's also a bit like torture because I'm walking around saying, "Don't eat that! That's not to eat! Leave the bacon alone."
Child abuse.
I'm just trying to get ahead, you know? Fine. I gave in and I let them eat one
piece each.
I'm making most of the 10 pounds into regular strips of bacon like this. But I made 2 pounds into bacon bits to use in all kinds of delicious ways next week. As I was beginning the process, I realized I had no idea where my kitchen shears were. I have two pair, and could find neither one. I blame my children. But in their defense, they probably hid them from me
because I wouldn't let them eat the bacon.
Immediately after my "I can't find my kitchen shears, stop eating my bacon!" situation this morning, I got online and found that for just a few hours, these lovely shears are heavily discounted. Sign me up. Run quickly though, because they really are on sale for just a couple more hours. (But don't run with scissors. You know better.)
Love and bacon bits,
