If you are a parent and you've had to make sixty-seven decisions for your family already today, well, I'm praying for you, high-fiving you, and sending you an air hug.
If only parenting kids was as simple as "feed them food, wash their clothes, and kiss their cheeks." Right? Twenty years of parenting has taught me all kinds of
lessons in humility because "I don't know what I'm doing" has basically been my theme song.
There's no way to know what we don't know until after we know it. Often we don't even know what questions we should be asking. The enemy tried to fill me with guilt over this until finally God's Truth won over with:
I will never leave you or forsake you. I am God, over you and your children. I love you. I love your children. I have good plans for them. Trust me.
He is a good, good Father. Trusting Him provides joy and peace every single time. He is faithful, loving, and constantly at work for our
good.
Prayer is our biggest, most effective parenting tool. Much of what I've learned about this I wrote in The Prayer Mugs. Then I heard a Parenting Bundle was being put together, so I
emphatically said, "Please include my Prayer Mugs book!"
And thennnnnnn, the entire parenting collection came out and I found that it is all fantastic!
