Matt
told me recently that I should stop saying, "I think everything should settle down and I'll have more time when______________." Why? Because life has yet to settle down ever and just about the time I think it should, it doesn't.
This could not be more true during these last three weeks of my life. I thought summer break would bring some down time, but through a crazy
series of events we've had a constant flood of house-guests moving in and out, a wedding we were highly involved in, and multiple break-downs from our van to our washing machine. This along with all the activities are kids are involved in right now...let's just say I bought sandwich stuff last week and said, "This is the best I can do today. Please use a paper plate. Try to find a strawberry or a carrot to go with your sandwiches."
This morning I realized that Father's Day is actually 6 days away, and while we never do anything fancy, I do want to honor Matt by doing something special. I guess it's time for me to decide what that something special will be, huh?
This list will be my go-to source for that, and thanks for my BFF, Amazon Prime, most anything I order can be here by Thursday. I'd say we'd grill steaks for him that day, but our grill broke too. Crazy but true!
In food news, you might have noticed that I've been on a Waffle Iron kick lately. Check out the latest: Simple Egg and Cheese Hashbrown Waffles! Bet I could throw some bacon crumbles in there for a Father's Day breakfast and Matt
would be pretty happy!
Do you have your Father's Day plans figured out? With all that's going on here, will someone please remind me on Sunday to call my own dad? I'm actually not kidding. :)
Frazzled but Joyful,

P.S. The best part of my day - the only way I'm getting through my days - is taking time to pray like this. If you haven't picked up your copy of The Prayer Mugs yet, do it. THIS is how my days can be full of nuttiness and I can still live in
peace and joy! (The ASAIS20 20% off code expires Wednesday!)
