God gave us two more babies last week. Two more girls. What?!
Once again, these are relatives to our current adopted and foster children, which is why we got the phone call and why we said yes. Keeping siblings together is important if at all possible.
Most importantly, God said yes to this, even though it feels almost crazy. (Ever read the Bible though? Does God work in crazy, amazing ways? Yes. He does.)
Current count: 6 boys. 4 girls. (Plus 1 boy who is reunified with his dad but comes over regularly.) 5 in diapers. 1 getting married. 2 in college. 1 in the NICU.
Ages 24, 21, 19, 16, 7, 5, 2.5, 2.5, 17mo, 10mo, 1 week.
Hoping to get the newborn home today. Settling in the 17mo.
Our community of lovely people has rallied once again, bringing diapers and meals, doing Walmart runs for me, staying with littles so I can go to the NICU to hold Baby. Our older boys are rock stars, jumping in once again to fill in so many gaps and hold all the babies.
I marvel at God. I'm tired. If I dare admit it, I'm a little scared. Because HOW WILL WE DO THIS?? And then God reminds me: HE is doing this. We simply get to be a part of His work through His people.
We ask for prayer. Pray for these babies. Pray for their biological family. Pray for our family. Pray for our community. Praise God for His provision. He is a good, good Father.
Asking for Daily Bread,
P.S. Pray also for God to provide a Ford Transit. Funny how we were started actively searching for one two weeks ago and now we need one more than ever!
