Ice cream. After dinner. Every night.
Or maybe just on Fridays.Â
Â
Either way, it's so much fun to create simple but memorable summertime traditions. I LOVE THIS TIME OF YEAR!!! Summer is my favorite! We take long walks, we eat fun food, we ride bikes and play and draw on the sidewalk (and on the house if you're a two year old)...
Â
We pretty much live outside and the kids love it. I love it. Our health loves it. Here's our "eat on the porch" dinner pic that I snapped last night:
Â
Food was as simple as can be, the weather was perfect, and yes, we followed dinner with a little scoop of ice cream. BECAUSE IT'S SUMMERTIME!!!
Â
I mentioned last week in an email that we were helping with our friends' wedding. It was everything wonderful and now we're recovering. ;) Here's Brayden and our 5yo Girl dancing with the gorgeous bride - having the time of their lives!
Â
With that wedding behind us, we're more excited than ever for Asa and Eva's wedding later this summer!Â
Â
Have I mentioned that I love summer?
Â
So here are two things I'm going to give you to help you enjoy summer with your family:
Â
1. Half-Price Simple Meals Subscription - This is a HUGE savings (tho to be fair, the regular price is already really low). I want you to have this though because our summer days are too full to figure out what to buy, what to cook, and what to feed your family. Simple Meals makes it so easy for all of us -
so this week I'm giving your subscription to you at half off! That's a piddly $0.50/week for a complete menu plan, grocery list, recipe links, and bonus kitchen/time saving/money saving tips! Join us here and get the most out of your summertime!
Â
We're doing Activity #2 this afternoon!
Our 5 and 7yo kids are going to love this challenge. They love books and well, caterpillars. (They can't understand why they caterpillars they catch don't turn into butterflies within just a few hours after they put it into a jar...)
Â
Get this book, get all the rest, enjoy all the fun!

One last thing - a recipe!
I don't make it often, but when I make this chocolate milk, every kid in my house (even/especially the adult kids) get pretty excited.
