Our son, Asa, is getting married this August! (I know I already told you that, but it's fun to say it again.) Their wedding plans are in full swing and it's so much fun to hear all the details as they work through them! Meanwhile, some of our "other kids" are getting married this weekend.
Other kids? Yes. "Wait, how many kids do you have, Laura?" {long pause while Laura stops to think, count on her fingers, look perplexed, and finally decides...} "About 30 I think??"
No, we aren't fostering THAT many. But along with our bios, our adopted, and our fosters, we are continually blessed to have many, many college students in our lives. These dear ones know that they can just show up at meal times without calling first. They invite others to join them because they know we love that. They say yes when we ask if they can help us with our littles because they love them like they are siblings.
It's a great big messy loud party at our house most of the time and I am in awe of it.
Of this bunch, this weekend our Kellie and Ben are getting married. I feel like it's a trial run for Asa's upcoming wedding because we are so highly involved in helping K&B get ready. It's been so much fun and I refuse to think about the fact that on Saturday, we will send them off for their honeymoon and then they are moving to another state. I WILL NOT THINK ABOUT IT. La-la-la. I'm fine. Everything is fine.
Easy peasy, and there will be plenty of help with meals and littles because everyone involved in this wedding is awesome.
