It's been exactly one year since Brayden's adoption into our family. We're partying today, celebrating God's goodness to put this dear one into our lives in such a beautiful way. We continue to pray for his healing as we work through challenges with all that adoption brings.

Also worth mentioning because of the wow-ness: Since we launched Boy#3 last week, Malachi - who used to be the youngest of four boys - has now become the oldest of the four boys left at home. We're marveling at this. And Malachi is rocking his new role. (If I had the time, I'd make a pun about the rocking and the rolling...)
Is this really for the grown ups?
Here's something cool: I created the High Five Recipes Flipbook for those of us working to "hold down the fort,"
but as it turns out, some are finding it all to be perfect for their kids too. This is brilliant, of course. Here's what Joni said:
"What a fabulous resource! So easy for kids to use to grow in cooking skills. I’m having my college son (who is still at home) choose some, practice them and then we will print copies of his favorites for him to take back to campus. Thank you!!"
She's specifically talking about the High Five Recipes Flipbook, which you can read about here and learn how to get it for free. And while we're on the subject, I'm now looking at everything included in this food-fun-package and thinking about how awesome so many of these are to use along with your kids as you teach them cooking skills, menu planning, kitchen organization. I actually think this is worth buying even if you only want to give it all to your biggish kids to use and learn from during the upcoming
school year and beyond. Hmmm. It's something worth thinking about.
Here are my favorites, by the way:
- Meal Planning Success Kit (regularly $17) - full of meal planning printables that are super useful for every kitchen.
- Printable Meal Planning Bundle (regularly $24.99) - This is packed with really great recipes, printables galore, and even baking conversion pages. So helpful! Plus the printables are really pretty. Tomorrow I'll share more about the (time saving!) recipes I've tried from this great pack.
- The Peaceful Pantry (regularly $8.95) - I love how this is written so simply to make it easier to read in bite-sized chunks. It's practical and very helpful and covers a lot of ground to inspire us get our pantries organized for easy meal planning.
- Ultimate Theme Nights Recipe List (regularly $27) - Wow. This one is so much fun! I've heard of Taco Tuesday. But Waffle Wednesday? Or would you prefer Wing Wednesday? (I won't share more because that would spoil all the fun.) This book is incredibly creative, full of such neat ideas, and loaded with recipe links. I'm having a lot of fun going through this! (And you guessed it, tonight we're having waffles.)
- High Five Recipes Flipbook (regularly $15) - Well. Is it ok that one of my favorites is my very own bonus to everyone who buys the bundle through my links? I can't help it. This little Flipbook is truly so much fun. Can you go wrong with real food recipes that call for only 5 or fewer ingredients? No. And is it so much fun to have these all in a little flipbook? Yes.
There's so much more where these came from, but those are the ones I'm having the most fun with so far. Note that the five resources I listed here are worth $78. And the value of the entire bundle filled with 58 resources is worth a total of $1,474. But the entire package only costs $37 right now. Plus I'm giving buyers $67 worth of extra bonuses. (That was a lot of numbers to say wow, great deal.)
Tomorrow, I'll share some of the recipe fun I've been having this week as I make my way through this bundle. Truly, food is fun. But even if you don't think it's fun, at least let this help you make it EASY(er). :)
