That is a rhetorical question.
We've been taking super long walks each morning, and by the time we get back, all three of our littles seem to be starving (even though we pack a snack to eat on our walk). Lunch these days is:
- a smoothie packed with frozen fruit, whole milk yogurt, and mixed greens
- a veggie like green beans or peas or broccoli
- leftovers like pasta or potatoes
- a slice of colby jack cheese
- 1/2 a banana each
Then, and only then, are they satisfied. (Until they need something else to eat before their nap.) I'm talking about 2 one-year-olds and a six year old! I probably don't need to describe what my teens eat (before their naps, ha).
I personally love seeing my kids eat so heartily! This means they are healthy, strong, and have played/worked hard and have therefore worked up a good appetite. Here are some new recipe ideas as you work at feeding the family all day, every day, eat, and repeat:
I've recently posted two of our new favorite recipes for the grill, and I love how these offer variety from the typical grilled hamburger and hotdog:
- Simple Spicy Chicken Burgers (So easy, so good, and a tip: make more than you think you'll need because almost everyone in my house over the age of 1 eats at least two of these!)
- Potato and Bacon Foil Packs (Make these early in the day, then throw them on the grill to quickly cook for your meal!)
- The Best Grilled Chicken (This isn't a new post, but it IS worth reminding you about because it is so delicious and easy!)

Now let's talk about school. And food. And life.
I don't think that there's one person who isn't affected by all the changes coming our way for the upcoming school year. It has been on my heart to do something to help, so please go read this and be encouraged.
What I feel like I can help with the most (beyond prayer for all of us, because God is God and He is in this) is to provide resources for us like:
- Menu Planning and Recipe help. Lists of ideas for what to feed everyone all day long!!! Snack ideas!
- Homeschool articles of encouragement. Homeschool planners. Homeschool printables and curriculum. Suggestions for how to organize a homeschool day (including those of you who are choosing a distance/virtual learning option through your local school).
That's what I feel most of us need right now. I mean, yah, we need Jesus and He is right here with us listening and guiding and loving. So lean into Him first. The rest all comes together.
And then on a practical, let-me-use-some-of-my-experiences-to-do-the-thinking-for-you side, I put together a huge stack of brand new menu planning, life planning, school planning and organizing, recipe and food lists, and printable school resources! It's a lot ( you can read about it all here), it's useful, and it can
make some of these life changes we're all going through much easier! I put it all into our Club Membership site with all the rest of the eBooks and eCurriculum and recipes and tips and articles.
Then, because it only makes sense, I replaced our "full price subscribe" button with our "half price subscribe" button. I want you to get in on all of this goodness, but I want you to pay half. Forever.
So for one week only, get in on our Heavenly Homemakers Club Membership for just $5/month. You get well over $1,000 worth of materials so this is beyond worth it and an incredible offer --->
