I discovered this trick a few years ago when our big boys were home, in sports, and we traveled a lot for games on the weekends. I needed hearty food for them to eat between games and sandwiches were getting old.Â

On a whim, I put a roast in the crock pot before bed one night to take with us the next day to a tournament. BRILLIANT. It worked so well
I pretty much always make it like this now. Though we aren't heading to tournaments right now (can you imagine?!).Â

But when a roast is cooked low and slow
like this, the meat will fall apart and can be perfectly ready to eat after church on Sunday with no effort. Or sure, if
you're
normal and start it in the morning early, it's ready at dinnertime that night. 😋
Equally important to mention: If you cook potatoes in a crock pot like this, you can have Mashed
Potatoes ready to eat with your roast or chicken.Â
