Back in my very early days of blogging, I shared a series of "
Healthy Treat Recipes" in which I basically subbed whole wheat flour for white and sucanat
for white sugar. While this made them "healthy-ER" I can't really say that they are healthy.
Treats are fun sometimes though, and while I never use sucanat any more (because it's expensive and still sugar), I do like making
these brownies to serve when we have company. These freeze really well, so I
quadruple the recipe, bake them in a large sheet pan, and serve half/freeze half for
another time.
