Seven years and seven kids ago,
I wrote this. At that time, our oldest son, Asa, was turning 20 and wow had I learned a lot. I'm still learning. I'm still
growing. I'm still seeking and crying and praying my way through this parenting life that exploded on me without any notice.
In just a few weeks, Asa will turn 27. Then not long after that (or before?!) he will become a daddy to his own little one.
All of our kids are our teachers, are they not? But our firstborn
children? Well, they seem to teach us the most. We're green and we mean well, but we haven't a clue what we're doing. God bless the firstborn. They are a true testament of God at work in spite of us.
