A friend of mine came over last week while her husband was having tests run at the hospital. His cancer is back and it's intense. While I was so glad to have her here so I could hug her, pray with her, and give her some coffee, I also wondered how being at my house could possibly be restful for her in the midst of her stress. Our house is NOT
quiet.
But then here she was, sitting on our couch and while we cried together and she shared the struggles of the past months she also laughed at our kids' antics, held our baby, and talked about her own kids (a wonderful change of subject, for sure).
Todays biggest message: Don't let your kids hold you back from ministry. Instead, minister with them. Involve them. Do life and ministry with together with your whole family.
