I'm not in a place in life that I can set lofty goals for 2024. But I can continue to work toward encouraging simple, healthy habits for our
family.Â
- Go easy on sugar.
- Drink plenty of water.
- Enjoy limited screens and plenty of active play time.
- Always eat fruits and veggies with our meals.
I'm thankful that I've figured out how to make the fruit and veggie thing easy. Serve a meal, set out a container of berries and some sliced cucumbers. Serve a meal, make smoothies full of greens to fill us with veggies. Serve a meal, slice some apples and steam some peas.Â

If I don't do it, the kids actually ask for it now. Like, if I only serve a veggie they are
like, "and what fruit are we also having?" This is good. They want the good stuff.
