When our kids throw fits, they can be very intense. It feels discouraging when we are working so hard to help them all and then their extreme behaviors can appear like we have never trained or disciplined them at all. Four out of five kids had super struggles at the library yesterday. Like after yesterday, I never want to go back to that
library (or out in public) ever again. Blech.

Matt and I are constantly talking through and praying about ways to help our higher-needs kids. One that is obvious and necessary whether a kids has trauma or not is to, of course, make sure their bellies are full so that they don't get hangry. We all know this and I thought
we'd all eaten enough before heading out yesterday, but...

Anyway, woe is me. But once again, I'm finding myself heading to the kitchen to make a pile of easy snacks to hand out all day long so that I can keep everyone full and happy(er).Â
