I've found that snacks for our 7 and 9-year-olds don't work because eating them ruins their appetite for good meals. But our littler kids make up for it in the snacking arena. If they don't snack regularly the fits and tantrums are worse than
ever.Â
This isn't something I typically think
of to make in the summertime. But I want to send the kids out the door after a power-packed breakfast. So this was a perfect part of their morning. (See other varieties of this recipe here.)
