One of our dear housemates was there to witness the whole thing and she immediately took over. "No problem. No problem. Go change, go do whatever you need to do. I'll take care of this."

I thanked her profusely and ran upstairs where I quickly peeled smoothie clothes off of myself, scrubbed my sticky feet, redressed myself, and headed down just as my meeting person rang the doorbell. She was none the wiser. I was still a bit flustered.
