We've been in our new home for eight days now and we're starting to make real progress settling in. Here's what one side of our living room looked like after we unloaded our moving truck:
And here's what it looked like two mornings ago after reshuffling and unpacking containers:
That's the view from our couches on the other side of the room. This is going to be such a great area for hospitality! Next week I'll have an entire post ready to share full
of before and after pictures of our rooms!
We've started going on adventures with our kids.
Now that we can find our shoes, we've started enjoying outings with our kids so we can explore our new surroundings. Tuesday we walked to the closest library. Yesterday we went to a super cool park. We have a zoo membership and live super close so we'll
head there soon. THIS has been the fun part of moving - getting to know all the cool things to do around town!
Packing food to take on these adventures works well for us because there are so many littles and we don't want anyone to get hangry.
So I'm referencing these lists to get all the ideas in my head:
Asa picked up milk for us one day, Eva grabbed me some greens another day, and Elias and I ran into Sam's for produce after church on Sunday. Otherwise, we're eating the food people are bringing us and the food we still have in our freezer.
It's pretty amazing and we're so thankful for the abundance and care God is showing through His people.
Soon, I'll need to make a Costco run (I can't believe I can just "run to Costco!!:). Here's what I like to get there. I don't believe "popsicles" is on that list, but we are going through those quickly and I really like the 100% juice pops they offer there.
