I shared this recently but it's on my mind again because I feel like all day long I'm working to accommodate people's preferences. I think it's important to not put a negative spin on the word "picky." We all have our preferences, do we not?? I think it's ok to try and make food that our people will enjoy! (We don't have to become short order chefs to do this - see my ideas below.)
The problem comes when there are so many people and so many preferences. We currently have 10 eaters at our house and an 11th that comes to visit several times each week. He's four and he's the pickiest of them all.
He's the one that inspired this post. Again, not because his pickiness is bad necessarily. But because he helped me realize that when I am feeding 10 or 11 (or more) people a meal,
it is best to offer a variety of foods so that everyone can find at least something on the table that they like. <--- This is what has helped me
survive meal times with this many kids.
