We try to go easy on grains at dinnertime, filling up on meat, veggies, and fruit. Potatoes are great too. So if my kids do a good job eating their
main dish and veggies, I might let them have a piece of quick bread as a "treat" to help fill their bellies at the end of a meal. Most of these have fruits and/or veggies in them, plus I make them with whole wheat flour, so I feel good about providing these at the end of a meal:
