The day after the last day of school, I sat down with our 3, 6, and 8 year olds to write down fun summer ideas. Nothing was extravagant (I was the one with the pen, after all). We wrote things like:
- Go to the library
- Go on lots of walks
- Eat picnics at the park
- Go to ALL THE PARKS
- Make popsicles
- Eat popsicles!
- Go to the farmer's market
- Roast hotdogs at our firepit
- Have shopping time with mom (as in, take turns going to the store with mom one-on-one)
- Go to Montana for the WEDDING!!!
- Go to the pool...
It's all activities we would be doing anyway, but the kids had soooo much fun making plans with me as if they thought of these "unique" ideas all by themselves! :)
